About a month back, I got a random call to do a photo shoot for a studio I'd done a bit of work for last year. I thought it was just for headshots, but it turned out that they needed pics for a new CD by Satomi Oda. So now I am rather excited to have some of my photos in a CD—with a credit, no less! I also received a signed copy of the CD, which is always nice.
On the Wall
A friend of mine rents out apartments in the Tokyo area, and he offered to put some of my photos on his walls. I'd never actually printed my photos before. It was a bit of an experience—not to mention a little disheartening to discover that some of my favorite pics just don't have enough megapixels to be printed up to any reasonable scale.
I felt a certain sense of satisfaction to see a collection of my photos in frames. They looked almost professional—like they might be worth something.
